New Services: TPX & MEX (MPX-Service Enhancements and Restructuring) (top)

MPX service changes :

We are pleased to announce that Norasia and CMA as consortium partners have jointly agreed to split the existant MPX service into two seperate loops .

One loop connecting Med with Asia (to be named as MEX 7 service) and another loop connecting Asia with USWC & Canada (to be named as TPX 5 service ).

The MEX 7 service will be maintained as a fixed day weekly service with total of 7 vessels out of which Norasia will have 2 (two) vessels deployed in the service (Vantage +Hansa India).

The TPX 5 service will also be maintained as a fixed day weekly service with total of 5 Vessels
out of which Norasia will have 1 (one ) vessel deployed . (Norasia Hamburg)

Highlights of the TPX 5 service :

  1. The service numbers of the TPX service will be ammended to reflect as Svc 7 and Svc 8 .

  2. An additional call at Vancouver will be introduced in the Long term TPX service proforma after the call at Los Angeles. Oakland call will be suspended on this service. The PNW service in cooperation with ZIM will not be affected because of this additional Vancouver call.

  3. As a build up to the introduction of the Vancouver call and during the phase in schedules on this new service , the following vessels will call at Vancouver in addition to Los Angeles & Oakland call.
    1. V. Taurus 242 EB will call at Los Angeles + Oakland as normal.
    2. V. Tanya 243 EB will call at Los Angeles + Oakland + Vancouver
    3. V. Vega 244 EB will call at Los Angeles + Oakland + Vancouver
    4. V. Hansa India 245 EB will call at Los Angeles + Oakland + Vancouver
    5. Thereafter ships EB will omit Oakland and only call Los Angeles & Vancouver

  4. Shanghai call introduced on the E-bnd TPX rotation which will provide a direct sailing to Los Angeles & twice a week direct sailing to Vancouver ( TPX + PNW )

  5. Busan call will be maintained in the rotation both w-bnd and e-bnd to cater for the exports to /from Asia & USWC/Canada .

  6. We can now offer direct sailings from Xiamen to Vancouver.

  7. Ammended proforma days at Hongkong & Yantian can offer better cargo closings and increased liftings.

  8. Faster transit time for Hongkong & Yantian exports with the revised rotation of the service .

Highlights of the MEX 7 service :

  1. The service numbers of the MEX service will be maintained as Svc 2 and Svc 4 .

  2. We have selectively positioned the faster vessels into this loop which should improve schedule integrity.

  3. With the revised rotation in W-MED being Barcelona - Fos - Genoa , should provide better transit time for exports ex Asia to Barcelona . Furthermore the new rotation effectively reduces distances between the ports in the W-MED rotation adding more buffer time on the proforma schedule to our advantage.

  4. We have segregated the problem in the U.S. and the related schedule jeopardy by separating the MEX loop with that of the TPX . Henceforth should there be any future problems in the USWC because of strikes / go slows , the MEX w-bnd schedules do not get affected whereby we are able to provide consistent weekly service to our clients without major schedule repairs .

To conclude , with the revamping of the services , we should be able to continue providing better and quality service to our clients and this information need to be communicated to our customers highlighting the advantages of the services .

Further schedule related information and routeing guidance will be advised by Regional Operations in due course . Revised allocations will be advised by Trade .

Competitive Transit times (top)

From North Europe and throughout the Mediterranean region, we offer our customers connections and transit times amongst the best in the industry.

From North Europe and throughout the Mediterranean region, we offer our customers connections and transit times amongst the best in the industry. Our weekly AME service comprising eight 6500 TEU modern vessels offers a direct link to the gateway to the Arabian Gulf via Khor Fakkan, with a transit time of only 12 days from Southampton and 7 days from Malta.
Our mainline NCX service serves the Red Sea via Jeddah, with a transit time of only 10 days from Le Havre and 3 days from Damietta.

Both offer connections which are very competitive to the Middle East and the Indian sub-continent, as also to South-East Asia and the Far East.

The AMA service links the strategic port of La Spezia with both Jeddah (transit time 7 days) and Khor Fakkan (transit time 12 days) East bound and the United States East coast West bound (transit time to New York 12 days) In addition, our calls at the strategic hub ports of Malta and Damietta, coupled with an extensive feedering network throughout the Mediterranean region, allow us to offer a range of destinations that is hard to match.

Our soon to be introduced JSE service will offer a third North Europe - Far East string, including a direct service to Japan. That will allow us to offer Le Havre - Tokyo in 24 days.
