CSAV NORASIA Expands RTW Service into North China and Korea

Hong Kong, July 18th 2006—CSAV NORASIA today announced that it is enhancing the port rotation on its westbound Round-The-World (RTW) service. With immediate effect it now offers access to Busan in Korea and Xingang and Qingdao in northern China to the service.

This allows customers to connect these important areas to the Middle East and Indian Sub Continent and complements CSAV NORASIA’s Asia/Middle East-ISC products.

In addition, customers in the east and west coasts of the United States now have direct connections to Korea and northern China, giving them extra flexibility with this service.

CSAV NORASIA operates 10 of the 13 ships on this westbound service, with Goldstar Line operating 3. Port rotation is as follows:

Port Rotation

Busan, Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Chiwan, Port Klang, Jebel Ali, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Tuticorin, Colombo, Port Said, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Port Elizabeth, New Port News, Charleston, Kingston, Los Angeles, Oakland, Busan.

The first sailing on this new rotation from Busan will be the Bengal Sea, departing on July 18th. The 13 ships on the service will have an average capacity of 3,000 TEUs and service speed of 21.5 knots.

The addition of ports to the RTW service finalizes the upgrade of the Intra Asia product, adding to CSAV NORASIA’s SuperGalex service, which offers a range of complementary ports to the RTW service, meaning that access from North Asia and China to the Indian Sub Continent and the Middle East is now widely available.

CSAV NORASIA is a leading shipping line in the East-West trade routes. Located in Hong Kong, it is part of the CSAV Group, which is located in Valparaiso, Chile. To know more visit our website www.csavnorasia.com
